I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
